戰神Treasure短片翻譯：A Secret Revealed

對照前面的Birth of the Beast，或許可以猜測，當初製作群們在完成戰神一代後，曾經為二代的劇情，想了兩個可能的後續。

而這篇"A Secret Revealed"，很顯然地被採用拿來做戰神二代的主軸劇情了。

不過最後完成品的二代沒有殺老娘情節，感覺有點可惜XD

Kratos had accomplished more than he'd ever dreamed possible. But, he did not sit easily on his new throne. There was a secret in his past even he did not know. A secret he burned to uncover.

克雷托斯成就了超越自己夢想所及的功業。但他卻在自己的新神位上坐立難安。他的過往，隱藏著一個連克雷托斯自己，也毫無所知的秘密。一個他亟欲揭開的秘密。

Born out of wedlock, Kratos was the bastard child of a shunned woman. There were rumors as to who the father was, rumors that grew more and more preposterous. Until the woman finally left her small village, she swore a new life in Sparta. Kratos would never know the truth, never know who his father really was.

庶出而非婚生，克雷托斯是個眾人避之唯恐不及的女人所生的雜種私生子。眾多耳語，謠傳著孩子父親的身份，而這些謠言，亦越來越荒謬可笑。最後，女人終於離開了她的小村莊，在斯巴達展開了全新的生活。克雷托斯也將永遠無法得知真相，永遠無法知曉自己的父親，到底是誰。

But now, as a man, Kratos returned to Sparta. Determined to find his mother, and discover the truth. Kratos' mother was not long for this world. Before she passed, Kratos demanded she tell him the truth.

但現在，已然成為男子漢的克雷托斯，回到了斯巴達。他下定決心，要找到自己的母親，揭開真相的面紗。克雷托斯的母親早已不久於人世，但在她死去之前，克雷托斯命令她說出一切。

His mother knew the price she would pay if she revealed the name of Kratos' father. But it was time, at last, for his son to know who he was. No words need be spoken to bring about the prophesy of the curse, she was transformed into a merciless beast, one which would destroy even her own son.

他的母親知道自己將為說出克雷托斯真正生父的姓名，而付出什麼代價。但時機終於到來，她的孩子理應知道自己真正的出生來源。不需任何隻字片語，過去預言的詛咒，霎時實現。她被詛咒化為一隻殘忍無情，即便是生身之兒，也能下手屠戮的牝獸。

Putting aside the last reminiscence of affection for his mother, Kratos destroyed the beast she had become. With her last breath, she spoke the name of his father.

抹煞掉對母親最後一絲的情感，克雷托斯殺了她化身而成的牝獸。尚存一息的她，吐露了克雷托斯父親的姓名。

For Kratos was no mere mortal! He was the son of a god! He was the son of Zeus! The father of all Olympus! And with that knowledge, came the certainty that one day soon, he would take his revenge against the father. Against the god who had abandoned him all those years ago.

克雷托斯並非凡夫俗子！他是天神之子！他是宙斯，奧林帕斯眾神之父的兒子！在得知這點後，克雷托斯更加確定：很快地，總有一天，他將向自己的父親，報仇洩忿。他將找那位父神，一洩多年前遺棄自己的怨懟。
